Our 3-Step Process
Hard drive degaussing and destruction is the most secure way to completely destroy and therefore protect your information. In fact, it is the only method approved by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Defense (DOD) for the destruction of classified data stored on electronic media.
STEP 1.
Degauss Hard Drive
Our Degausser applies an intense and fluctuating magnetic field to the hard drive resetting the drive to a near zero state. All data previously written to the drive is completely erased and irretrievable.
STEP 2.
Physically Destroy Hard Drive
Our Destroyer bends and breaks the hard drive including the data platters where the data is stored, rendering the hard drive inoperable.
STEP 3.
Recycle Destroyed Material
We securely transport the destroyed hard drive (s) to a NJ DEP approved recycling facility.
